Chief Jeff McMenemy EFO, MPA, CFO 

Jeff McMenemy was born in Massachusetts and moved to Arizona in the early 70’s.  Jeff attended Deer Valley High School and then went on to continue his education at Ottawa University, receiving his BA in Fire Services Administration. Chief McMenemy was hired at the Glendale Fire Department in 1993, beginning a long and successful career in the Fire Service, working his way up from BLS Firefighter to West Deputy.  Along the way, Chief McMenemy attended Columbia Southern University, earning his Master's in Public Administration as well as obtaining his Executive Fire Officer and Chief Fire Officer designations

Chief McMenemy served as the City of Glendale's Emergency Manager from 2017-2021 and was responsible for maintaining interdepartmental relations between the Police Department, Fire Department, City Manager, and all other entities during emergency planning, Special Events, and other large operations. Jeff was the EOC (Emergency Operations Center) liaison during this time. He also served as a Type III Planning / Section Chief as part of the National Incident Command system, assisting in several large-scale events. 

Chief McMenemy has been with the Harquahala Valley Fire District since 2015. Jeff maintains all aspects of the District, including: Leadership and Management, Emergency Response Oversight, Training and Readiness, Budget and Administration, Community Engagement, and Strategic Planning.
