Harquahala Fire District is accepting applications for Reserve Firefighter Paramedic.  Applications will only be accepted during the dates of Thursday, January 26, 2012 to Saturday, February 18th, 2012.  All applications must be received by or post marked by February 18, 2012. Any applications outside those dates will be rejected.

All applications must be mailed or hand delivered to the Fire Districts address on the application letterhead. No emailed or faxed applications will be accepted.

Applicants will be notified of test date and time which is currently Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 1000.

Depending on the amount of applications two separate test times may be needed.

To be eligible to test for the Harquahala Valley Fire District, applicants must:

-          Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
-          High School diploma or G.E.D.
-          Have a valid Arizona driver’s license with a good driving record.
-          Be insurable by District insurance carrier for operation of District vehicles.
-          Not have had a felony (within previous 10 years) or misdemeanor (within previous 5 years).
-          Arizona State Firefighter I and II Certification.
-          Arizona EMT-P Certification.
-          Current CPR certification.
-          Passed CPAT within 6 months. (Fulltime members with other departments will only need to show proof of passing annual physical)

No exceptions will be given if you do not meet current requirements.

Testing for reserve firefighters occurs on an as need basis throughout the year.
